“Inside some of us is a thin person struggling to get out, but they can usually be sedated with a few pieces of chocolate cake.”  ~Author Unknown

Our bodies are truly wonderful machines.  They are always working quietly in the background performing tasks that will ensure our well being and ultimate survival.  Taking excess food and storing it into fat cells is just one of those tasks.  The body is preparing us naturally for times when food may not be in such plentiful supply so that it will have energy reserves to draw upon and carry the body until the next harvest.  None the less, the retention of fat in our cells does absolutely nothing to help us have that killer body and as such we are a society obsessed with dieting and weight loss.  Trouble is dieting rarely works!

With all of the diets out there; low or very low calorie , low carbs and high protein,  low protein and high carb, low fat, fruit only, vegetable only, vegetarian, vegan, detox, liquids only…it is no wonder that there is so much confusion about what works and what does not.  Everybody can agree somewhat to the fact that regular exercise helps, but what types and combination of foods must we eat or not eat in order to bring us back to a healthy body weight?

One of the best documentaries released on this subject is the film Hungry for Change.  The film exposes the shocking secrets that the diet, weight-loss and food industry don’t want you to know about – deceptive practices that have for years kept people craving foods that give little nutrition, cause their bodies to store fat and yet do not allow them to feel satisfied by what they consume.  In the film you will learn:

  • How to navigate your supermarket – what to buy and what to avoid
  • The real truth behind “DIET”, “SUGAR-FREE” and “FAT-FREE” products
  • How to overcome food addictions and cravings
  • Why fad diets don’t work
  • What food additives to avoid and how to read labels
  • What is fat and cellulite and how do we get rid of it for good
  • The most effective detox and cleansing strategies, and
  • How to eat for clear eyes, glowing skin and healthy hair

You can watch the film for free if you have a Netflix account in North America or you can stream or buy the DVD by visiting their website: http://www.hungryforchange.tv
